Bihar CM Nitish Kumar asks police to unravel ‘plot’ behind Begusarai firing | Patna News

PATNA: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said a well-knit conspiracy was behind the firing spree on the national highways in Begusarai on Tuesday evening.
“One place where indiscriminate firings were made, the people belonging to backward castes reside, while another spot is dominated by minorities. It shows it has been executed deliberately and in a planned manner,” Kumar said in the state capital here. “Definitely it is a conspiracy. I have asked police officers to examine the incident with all angles and probe the conspiracy angle,” Nitish said.
Asked if someone played a mischief because of the recent political change in Bihar, Nitish said, “All these things will be looked into. It will not be proper to comment on all these things, right now. I have asked the police to look into the incident from all angles.”
One person was killed, and nine others critically injured as two gunmen on a motorcycle went on a rampage in Begusarai district on Tuesday evening, firing indiscriminately at people in crowded areas. On the unprecedented incident of firing spree, Nitish said he already held a meeting with senior police and civil officers. “I have already asked the police officers to examine the incident thoroughly with all possible angles,” the CM said.
