Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority agreement on Digha convention centre | Kolkata News

KOLKATA: The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) along with Digha Sankarpur Development Authority on Tuesday signed an agreement with Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited (ASPHL) for taking up 30 years of operation and maintenance of the Digha convention centre spread over five acre of land.
The agreement was signed in the presence of state urban development and municipal affairs minister Firhad Hakim on Tuesday.
KMDA officials said a tender had been floated earlier for bids to take up the operation and maintenance of the hotel, auditorium and exhibition hall of Digha convention centre. The ASPHL came up with the highest bids.
“The government will get a revenue share of 18% or an yearly guarantee money of Rs 72 lakh whichever will be higher for the next 30 years,” said an official.
