Himachal Pradesh cabinet deletes clause 10 of School Management Committee policy | Shimla News


SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh cabinet in its meeting held on Thursday decided to delete the Clause-10 of the School Management Committee (SMC) policy and add new provision in the Clause 9 to safeguard the future of the SMC teachers.
It also decided to provide ten leaves per year and maternity leave benefits to the SMC teachers.
The Clause 10 had the provision of conducting fresh selection process in the new academic session.
As per the the clause, in no case the SMC provided teacher earlier can continue neither after completion of academic session nor after the joining of regular/contract teacher appointed by the government.
Cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur also decided to establish State Fund for Control of Drug Abuse.
The aim of establishment this Fund is to combat illicit traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances, awareness generation, identification, counseling, treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts through government/voluntary/ other organizations and institutions.
Decision was also taken to make part time panchayat chowkidars who have completed 12 years of continuous service as daily wagers Panchayat Employees. It decided to rename the library of one college in every district of State as Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar District Library as a mark of respect to the founder of the Indian Constitution.
Cabinet decided to upgrade temporary Police Post Ladbharol and Pandoh in Mandi district to Police Station alongwith creation and filling up of 8 posts each of different categories. It also decided to create new Sub Divisional Office (Civil) at Sunni in Shimla district to facilitate the people of the area.
Nod was given to create new Development Block Office at Ramshahar in Solan district alongwith creation and filling up of 14 posts of different categories.
It decided to issue Letter of Intent in favour of Cider Mills Private Limited at village Lakhawati in Chopal tehsil of Shimla for setting up of fruits based winery plant and to Himachal Nectars Private Limited Limited Unit No 2 Industrial Area Banalgi under Kasauli tehsil of Solan district for setting up fruits based winery plant.
It decided to upgrade veterinary dispensary Suliali and Veterinary Dispensary Kherian in Nurpur Vidhan Sabha area of district Kangra to Veterinary Hospitals alongwith creation and filling up of three posts each to man these hospitals. It also decided to open new veterinary hospital at Jachh in district Kangra alongwith five posts of different categories.
