Kaun Banega Crorepati 14: Amitabh Bachchan reveals why his father named their house ‘Pratiksha’

In today’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, Amitabh Bachchan begins the episode by introducing this Friday’s play-along contestant. After introducing them, Big B begins with the fastest finger first and throws all three questions to the contestants.
After looking at the leader board contestant Prakyath Shetty wins the chance to become the first play-along contestant and to sit on the hot seat with Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan greets the contestant and introduces him to the audience. Big B says he is a senior associate in a multinational company. Big B introduces the contestant’s sister whose name is Pratiksha. Big B says that “Pratiksha is a very beautiful name, even his father named their house Pratiksha.”

He further says “People ask me why did you keep your house name Pratiksha but I convey to them that I did not choose it my father did. Therefore I questioned my father why did you keep the name Pratiksha, he has a poem where there is a line that says swagat sabke liye hain par nahi hain kisi ke liye Pratiksha.”

Amitabh Bachchan immediately begins with the game and asks Prakyath the first question for Rs 1000

Aam ka achar, Nimbu ka, Mirchi ka achar ho aur bohoth saarey hain ginntey jaayengey toh time nikal jaayega.”

Pratyaksh selects option A and wins the question. Amitabh Bachchan asks the fifth question for Rs 5000 and the question was:

Pratyaksh was unsure about the question, therefore, asks for his first lifeline and selects an audience poll. The audience begins to answer the question and the majority of them select option A and ask Big B to lock option A and wins Rs 5000.
