LUCKNOW: To ensure that issues raised by citizens at Janata Adalat are resolved in a time-bound manner, the Lucknow Development Authority on Thursday appointed its deputy secretary Madhavesh Kumar as the in-charge of the grievance redress system.
This will help people coming with complaints at Janata Adalat and camps meant for elderly and disabled get feedback on the progress in their cases over phone or text messages, said LDA vice-chairperson Indramani Tripathi. Complainants will no longer need to visit the LDA office frequently and their issues will be resolved in a time bound manner, he added. The decision was taken during Janata Adalat held on Thursday that received 69 applications, of which 21 were disposed of on the spot. Besides, people who have been making rounds of the LDA office for decades to rectify errors in their land records presented their cases at Janta Adalat.
Shashank Kumar Sinha (82), a resident ofarojini Nagar, said his ancestral land was acquired in 1985 but the family could not get the compensation because of an error in the records.
