Hyderabad: ‘BJP dividing country for political mileage’ | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: CPM politburo member A Vijay Raghavan on Saturday said the BJP, which promotes ‘gau mata (cow)’ culture, imposed GST on milk and curd and was working to promote the corporate sector at the cost of the poor.
“Nothing seems to be more important for BJP than implementing RSS agenda. The country is being divided on religious lines for political power. All the like-minded secular and democratic forces should unite to defeat the BJP and save the country,” he said addressing a public meeting.
CPI leaders Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Chada Venkat Reddy and Kunamaneni Sambasiva Rao called upon people to take inspiration from the freedom struggle against the Nizam and work to defeat the BJP.
“Anyone can celebrate the Hyderabad merger day but should not distort the history. It is unfortunate that BJP is trying to project as if the freedom struggle against the Nizam rule was a fight between Hindus and Muslims,” said Sudhakar Reddy.
