KOLKATA: All five Passport Seva Kendras (PSK)s in Bengal, Tripura and Sikkim under the Kolkata Regional Passport Office will be kept open on September 24, a Saturday, for police clearance certificates.
“Given the rising demand for police clearance, PSKs will be kept open on September 24,” said Asish Middha, regional passport officer (RPO), Kolkata.
PSKs in Kolkata, Siliguri, Gangtok, Behrampore and Agartala will be functional for the processing of PCC applications. PSK Kolkata is supposed to process 2,000 applications, PSK Siliguri 250, Gangtok 130, Behrampore 603, and Agartala 227 next Saturday. Only the forms of PCC applicants will be submitted. Those who have already taken appointments can reschedule the dates to September 24. New PCC applicants can also take appointments on the same day.
The PCC applicants can reach the PSKs for submission of the PCC applications in the slots allotted to them in the online appointment on www.passportindia.gov.in. Only those applicants, who have obtained appointments for the day will be entertained. Tatkal, on-hold files, and walk-in applications would not be accepted, said Middha.
