‘RRR’ director SS. Rajamouli wonders about his recent film’s success | Telugu Movie News

We have earlier reported that SS. Rajamouli has been invited to talk about his films and career at the TIFF 2022 (Toronto International Film Festival), which recently took place, wherein he was expected to speak about his career as a filmmaker. Rajamouli who graced the event said that he wonders about his own film’s successes lately for several strange reasons.

SS.Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ is one of the most successful Indian films is not a denying fact, the film has brought lots of laurels to him not just from the Telugu audiences but from the entire Indian moviegoers from across the globe.

Inaddition, SSR’s last film ‘RRR’ was one of the top grossers at the Indian box office. Therefore, the filmmaker who was at TIFF 2022 stated that Indians have spread across the globe but when Indian filmmakers make films they make them only for Indian audiences or their Indian diaspora, and maybe that is the reason why his ‘Baahubali’ couldn’t break through the international markets, except for a few countries like Japan. Therefore, he further opined that one should make films for wider audiences and think beyond borders.

Coming to his recent film’s success in the west, he expressed that he never expected the Pan-India success of his films but now ‘RRR’ has become so popular among the western audiences that he still couldn’t believe it is true.
