Ahmedabad: Jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh stolen | Ahmedabad News

AHMEDABAD: The salesman of a jewellery showroom on CG Road on Monday filed a complaint with Sola police saying two motorcycle-borne men stole a bag containing gold jewellery worth Rs 12.33 lakh from him in the Chandlodia area of the city.
Kalpesh Kansara, a resident of Ghatlodia, said he and a colleague, Vimal Patel, had collected jewellery from a gold trader in Gota.
When they were returning on their scooter, Patel stopped the vehicle at a paan shop to buy water. Patel went to buy the water and Kansara stayed with the scooter as the bag containing the jewellery was in the space for the driver’s feet.
A motorcycle with two men on it hit him, causing him to fall, and one of them then grabbed the bag.
Kansara and Patel approached Sola police and filed a complaint for theft and abetment against the two unidentified men.
