Lucknow: Grocery shop owner held for outraging woman’s modesty | Lucknow News

LUCKNOW: Police arrested a 26-year-old man on Monday for allegedly outraging a woman’s modesty in Gudumba area here.
Accused Brijendra Singh Saini alias Virendra, a native of Bulandshahar, owns a grocery shop in Kalyanpur.
Police said the accused had met the woman at his grocery shop two months ago.
She used to visit the shop frequently, following which the two became good friends over time. Taking advantage of the friendship, the accused stole few private pictures of the complainant from her phone. Later, he tried to force her to keep physical relationship with him and threatened to upload the photos, if she did not do the same.
He also blackmailed her for Rs 10,000. DCP (North) Qasim Abidi said n FIR was lodged and the accused was arrested on charges of intentional insult, assault on woman, extortion and under IT Act.
